San Marcos to reopen its activity center in March with COVID protocols – Corridor News

The city of San Marcos will reopen the activity center to the public on Monday, March 1 with COVID security protocols.

The gymnasium, swimming pool and other recreation rooms in the activity center will reopen on the same modified schedule as used at the end of 2020.

Guests will be admitted at 25% of their capacity in each area of ​​the establishment. The opening hours include:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a one-hour closure from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for disinfection and cleaning
  • Saturday open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a one-hour closure from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for disinfection and cleaning
  • Closed thursday

Reservations are required for ALL visitors to the activity center and will be made in hourly increments. Residents can book each zone once per day and you can reserve multiple zones on the same day.

For example, a visitor can make the following reservations: 7 am to 8 am: Cardio room 1; 8 a.m. to 9 a.m .: Gymnasium for free basketball; 9 a.m. to 10 a.m .: Weight room.

If residents cannot make it at the scheduled time, please cancel the reservation so that others can access that time slot.

Visitors to the activity center should wear a mask, wash their hands upon arrival, maintain a 6-foot social distance from other participants, and use designated floor markers for check-in.
