ACCESS Transportation

Transport for people with disabilities preventing them from using a metro bus equipped with an elevator. There is no income limit. ADA paratransit registrants can use the ACCESS transportation van service in all zones, on the days and hours that metro buses operate. Passengers may bring a personal care attendant if they cannot use ACCESS transportation alone. They can also bring at least one friend on any trip.

You must apply and be found eligible before you can use this program. Reservations for the ACCESS Transport Van Service can be made up to one week in advance. Subway fare is $1.75 each way. Please call 206-205-5000 for more information or visit www.kingcounty.gov

The reduced rate regional permit (RRFP)/ORCA

The Regional Reduced Fare Permit (RRFP) simplifies travel for seniors and passengers with disabilities around Puget Sound. Any eligible person can apply for an RRFP card on our Online portal of reduced fares or at an ORCA customer service office. Senior RRFP cards can also be obtained by mailing a request to our customer service desk. There is no card fee for your first ORCA RRFP.

Voluntary transport for the elderly

Qualified volunteer drivers provide trips to medical appointments and other essential services. To be eligible for transportation, you must be 60 or older, reside in King County, and have no other transportation options available.

Hyde Shuttle

The Hyde Shuttle program provides door-to-door service for seniors and adults with disabilities in many King County communities. Our friendly, specially trained drivers transport passengers to hot meal programs, medical appointments, senior centers, grocery stores and other local destinations. For those who have difficulty getting around, the service provides an opportunity to socialize and stay active within their community.
