The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC NET activity schedule for the merged cycles of December 2021 and June 2022.

The NTA has been entrusted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the task of conducting UGC NET, which is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for the positions of “Assistant Professor” and “Junior Research Fellowship and assistant professor” in Indian universities and colleges.

NTA will conduct UGC-NET December 2021 and June 2022 (merged cycles) for “Junior Research Fellowship” and “Assistant Professor” eligibility in 82 subjects in Computer-Based Testing (CBT) mode.

The JRF slots for the December 2021 and June 2022 UGC-NET cycles have been merged, while the JRF allocation methodology by subject and category remains unchanged.

SCHEDULE OF UGC NET ACTIVITIES

The calendar of UGC-NET activities December 2021 and June 2022 (merged cycles), is as follows:

  • Submission of the application file online: April 30 to May 20, 2022 (until 5 p.m.)
  • Exam fee submission deadline (by credit card/debit card/netbanking/UPI: May 20 (until 5:00 p.m.)
  • Correction in the mentions of the online application form: May 21 to May 23, 2022
  • Intimation of the cities of the examination centers: TBA
  • Download admission card from NTA website: TBA
  • UGC NET Exam Dates: TBD
  • Exam times: first team from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., second team from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Exam fees:
    • General/unreserved: Rs. 1100/-
    • General-EWS/OBC-NCL: Rs. 550/-
    • SC/ST/PwD: Rs.275/-
    • Third sex: Rs. 275/-

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR UGC NET

1. Candidates can apply for UGC-NET December 2021 and June 2022 (merged cycles) via “online” mode only through the website https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/

2. Submission of the online application form can be done by accessing the NTA website https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/

3. Application form in any other mode will not be accepted.

4. Applicants must strictly follow the instructions given in the newsletter and on the NTA website.

5. Applicants should ensure that the email address and mobile phone number provided in the online application form are theirs or their parents/guardians only, as all information/communications will be sent by NTA via email to registered email address or SMS to registered phone number only
