LEONARDTOWN, Maryland – Grimm + Parker Architects received the 2021 AIA Chesapeake Bay Award of Merit for New Non-Residential Construction for Leonardtown Library and Garvey Main Business Center.

St. Mary’s County Commissioners approved funding for the Leonardtown Library & Garvey Senior Activity Center project in fiscal 2018, and construction was completed in 2020. The building includes mixed-use space, including a library at full service and several areas of activities and programs.
President-Commissioner Randy Guys said, âWe are very proud of this facility and the wonderful amenities available to our citizens. I would like to congratulate the Department of Public Works and Transport for their leadership throughout the project.
